13.02.2024 Online meeting

On 13.02.2025, we conducted a productive online meeting covering key aspects of the AfroTrans project.

  • WP1 – Financial statement:
    We discussed the status of financial documentation and the importance of keeping it up to date. Emphasis was placed on ensuring that all necessary documents are completed and submitted within the required timeframe to maintain compliance with project guidelines.

  • WP1 – Deliverables and Milestones:
    A key part of the meeting focused on upcoming deliverables and project milestones. We reviewed the progress of reports and discussed the next steps needed to finalize them. Particular attention was given to the preparation of the first progress report and the approval process for the new curriculum in partner countries. Ensuring that these milestones are met on time remains a priority.

  • WP2 – Curriculum and Knowledge Base Development:
    A significant portion of the discussion was dedicated to curriculum development. We talked about the evaluation of courses at partner universities and the work on teaching methodologies for the master’s program. The development of subject cards and refining methodologies for new courses were also key topics, with an emphasis on aligning them with project goals and academic standards.

  • WP4 – Summer School:
    We reviewed plans for the summer school, including its structure and organization across different locations. The discussion covered travel arrangements, the division of sessions between partner universities, and the format of activities. The importance of ensuring smooth coordination and an engaging learning experience was highlighted.

  • WP4 – Lab Equipment:
    The final part of the meeting was dedicated to the procurement of lab equipment. We exchanged updates on the tendering process and discussed the next steps to finalize the purchase. Ensuring that the equipment meets the necessary requirements and is delivered on time was identified as a key objective.

The meeting concluded with a summary of upcoming tasks and the need for continued collaboration to achieve project goals.
